Floating Pump A Way Of Shutting Off A Pump When Water Is Low. Opposite Of Normal Sump Pump Switch Action.?

A way of shutting off a pump when water is low. Opposite of normal sump pump switch action.? - floating pump

I have a 3 / 4 shallow wells pump water into a cistern.
I had the opportunity to turn off the pump when water reaches as avoiding approximately 8 "to burn the pump (it is a pump at low prices - do not think there protectiion heat).

The pump sits on top of the tank of 1500 liters. The tank is about 7 feet deep and about 3.5 inches wide and 7 'long. The only access through a concrete cover of 100 books that I need to follow to the lights, or 4 "hole, which is currently two 1-inch PVC pipe up over him to keep them.

The pump is in an insulated and heated box. It uses a cable of 115 volts. There are other options in the table.

The next thing I think would be a regular sump pump float switch closes instead, when the water level is low.

Almost impermeable to water, the tank full, and at first I thought it would be at the bottom.

You should be able to use two float switches and wires, so that the pump when the water is low and lights up when the water is high.

There is also a kind of long, thin strips that can be placed in the reservoir has the function of the float switch, and it is the pump on the strip of land transfer and turn it as you want.

Edit:

MultiTrode The band is a sensor of liquid level are used, which can instead of two float switches.

You can also install a pressure gauge on the tank and pressure measurement Rought to the level of water in the tank to determine the level of the head and the calculation of measured manually. (This is only general information and not connected to the pump).

See the reply Blue. There are several types of level indicator (DR) with integrated sensors in use for the control of the pump / remote. This may be connected in the control circuit pump.

Turn off the light when, if you use it.

You can set the pump to a switch to manually make layoffs or two swimmers, it turns and the other to the pumps near submursible fairly simple waterproof, so long as the end of the rope to sink
